His aim is to help beginners discover the drummer within themselves, intermediate players become proficient, and professionals find a home carrying their love of drums forward to others. Alex hopes to help all drummers authentically express themselves via drums and music.
Alex offers lessons to both adults and kids.

Playing music should be joyful and so should learning how to drum. We all have so many responsibilities. Alex wants to give his students permission to take a break and have fun. With Alex’s support, students will discover their own motivations and challenge themselves musically at every lesson.

The drums are all about creative expression. Alex doesn’t just show you how to robotically play popular rock songs like other teachers. Rather, Alex will help you develop your unique artistic voice.

We’ll start by building a solid foundation in drumming fundamentals, and we’ll bring those skills to every lesson. From developing proper technique to infusing rudiments into your playing, Alex will show you how to play your best.

Alex’s approach to drumming is primarily focused on developing and applying drumming rudiments. You’ll learn everything from Single Stroke Rolls to Triple Ratamacues. You’ll also learn how to apply them on the drum set.

It’s one thing to play well. It’s another thing to play with style. Some drummers call it playing “in the pocket.” Alex will help you develop your personal style so your beats are crisp, creative, and in the pocket.
